Fyda Freightliner Community Involvement
At Fyda Freightliner, we believe that being actively involved in the communities and industry in which we operate is key to knowing and understanding our customers and partners.
Technical School Equipment Support
In 2005, Washington State Community College (WSCC) and Fyda Freightliner Inc. joined forces to train students to become future service technicians. Ever since, Fyda Freightliner has been providing technical information and training aids to WSCC in support of their Auto/Diesel Program. In 2016, Fyda Freightliner donated a Detroit DD13 engine, which features the latest EPA-certified technology. Previously, WSCC received other engines and parts, as well as a heavily-discounted 2000 Freightliner FLD 120 tractor, used daily as a training aid for air brakes, drivelines, electronic engine controls, and engine design.

Community Touch A Truck Events
Fyda Freightliner dealerships take part in various local community Touch A Truck events across Ohio, in cities like Dublin, Poland, Westerville, Worthington, and more. Fyda Freightliner staff volunteer their time to allow the community to get up close and personal with a semi truck. Touch A Truck events are particularly fun for kids, who get a chance to crawl into the driver’s seat, take the wheel, and even blow the horn – getting their first glimpse of what it could be like to become a truck driver when they grow up!
Veterans Airlift Command (VAC)
Founded in 2006 by Vietnam Veteran Walter Fricke, Veterans Airlift Command (St. Louis Park, MN) provides free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes as a way to honor their service and provide a vital link that they need to their communities to make healing a bit easier. Tim Fyda, U.S. Air Force veteran pilot and President of Fyda Freightliner, volunteers his time and resources, piloting various VAC missions to aid our military veterans.
